Fundamental Principles of Professionalism
Mutu Prima Sertifikasi (MPS) upholds a set of fundamental principles as part of its professional commitment. These include impartiality, competence, responsibility, openness, confidentiality, and responsiveness to complaints.
1.1 Impartiality
MPS is committed to maintaining impartiality in all certification activities. Impartiality is essential to ensuring trust in the certification results. MPS acknowledges that its income is derived from client fees, which may pose a potential threat to impartiality.
To address this, MPS operates as an independent, self-financed organization to safeguard the principle of impartiality.
Certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence of conformity or nonconformity and are free from any undue influence. These decisions are made and signed by a competent and neutral Certification Decision Maker, who is not involved in the audit process and is not part of the audit team.
1.2 Competence
MPS is supported by competent personnel in management systems to ensure credible and reliable certification.
All MPS employees are required to continuously enhance their competence, which is monitored and documented. Competence development is achieved through relevant training, education, and audit experience.
1.3 Responsibility
Clients are responsible for fulfilling all certification requirements established by MPS.
MPS, in turn, is responsible for evaluating valid, objective evidence in accordance with applicable standards as the basis for certification decisions.
Decisions are made based on audit conclusions and documented in MPS procedures. Certification is granted only if sufficient evidence of conformity is demonstrated. Since audits are based on sampling, MPS does not guarantee full compliance across the entire management system.
1.4 Openness
MPS provides timely access to public information regarding its audit and certification processes, including the status of a certified organization (e.g., certification granted, extended, maintained, renewed, suspended, scope reduced, or withdrawn).
This transparency supports trust in the integrity and credibility of the certification process.
Certification status can be accessed via our website: https://www.mutuprima-sertifikasi.com.
MPS may also disclose non-confidential audit conclusions (e.g., audits in response to complaints) to relevant stakeholders upon request. These can be accessed through our website or via email:

1.5 Confidentiality
All MPS personnel are required to safeguard client information obtained during certification activities.
No client information will be disclosed to third parties without prior written consent, unless required by law or contractual agreement.
Any information not intended for publication must be treated as confidential, including information received from external sources in accordance with MPS confidentiality policy.
1.6 Responsiveness to Complaints
MPS is committed to an open and responsive complaint-handling process.
Any party concerned with the certification issued by MPS may file a complaint and request investigation. If a complaint is found valid, the complainant will be assured that the matter is handled appropriately and resolved satisfactorily.
Responsiveness to complaints serves as an effective safeguard for MPS, its clients, and certification users against errors, negligence, or misconduct.
A proper balance between openness and confidentiality—including responsiveness to complaints—is essential to maintaining trust, integrity, and credibility in MPS’s certification activities.
